What You’ll Actually Do (No Fluff!):
- Be the first point of contact: Assist with new client queries.
- Get hands-on in court: Arrange and attend appointments, court hearings, and meetings with clients— sometimes at court, sometimes at our offices, sometimes elsewhere.
- Draft the essentials: Prepare Notices of Issue, Notices of Acting, Delegated Functions, Statements, Applications, and all sorts of legal forms (with support from your supervisor).
- Support the team: Help Fee Earners move cases forward, chase evidence, review statements, and keep everything on track.
- Keep the wheels turning: Maintain a super-organised diary for court dates, deadlines, and timetables.
- Communicate effectively: Work with Counsel, medical experts, and other professionals to get the best outcomes for clients.
- Stay compliant: Make sure everything you do meets Legal Aid Agency, SRA, and Specialist Quality Mark standards.
- Wrap it up: Prepare files for billing and closure, making sure all documents and financials are in order. • Pitch in: here at A&N care we all help out where needed – it’s what helps to make our firm so special
What You’ll Need:
- Skills: Logical, analytical, and a great communicator (written and spoken). Outstanding organisational skills are a must!
- Knowledge: Solid grounding in Family Law and Legal Aid.
- Experience: You’ve worked in family law/child proceedings before (essential). Experience with electronic case management systems and local authority processes is a bonus.
